In Trivial Pursuit of Ciao!

So the weekend past went a little like this...

On Friday, while at work I sent Jade an e-mail containing this picture:

Tagline: Starter
Message: Think this should be our starter tomorrow!!!
Her response:  Oh yeah!!!! I can taste it already!!!!!

Now Ciao has fast become one of my favourite chill drinks. This premixed cocktail vibe is quite divine and I can already see how this will be a winner on a scorching summer's day.

As the day progressed I also had the sudden urge to purchase a board game, to keep us entertained the next day and several other days to come. So the Saturday morning Boyf and I missioned to CNA to find a game we would all enjoy. We decided on Trivial Pursuit (Bet you know it!).

Since it was such a beautiful day on Saturday, Boyf suggested frozen margharita's at Mexican Kitchen.

Love the graphics on their menu

After this our search for Ciao began. For some reason we couldn't find any liquor store in town that sells Ciao and we ended up in Greenpoint. Imagine our relieve when people actually knew what we were talking about. Lol.

Now the whole idea was to go home and have a chilled Saturday afternoon sipping on drinks and playing Trivial Pursuit. But as we all know plans don't always materialise the way you like them to.
Things started out chilled, but somehow all of this changed, when I got a phonecall from my other bestie, Tracey. You must understand that I haven't seen this chica in months and when she told me she is in town with her boyfriend, obviously she had to come pop in to at least say hi. Saying hi turned into a stay longer, going to buy more booze to let's go to Long Street and uhm I think I'll actually just sleep over. LOL.

Ok so I've done enough blabbing, the proof is in the pudding, so here is the pics...

One last thing...Can someone explain these weirdo Birdie poses?

We fell in love...

...with this awesome vintage, leather, messenger bag! In a club! In George!
Upon dancing up a storm when we were in George, Jade and I spotted a guy with the coolest bag and we fell in love. And of course took a million pictures of it and with it.

The madness that was @George #Funzies Part 2

Ok right so here is part 2 as promised. Lionel decided to take us to the whitest spot in town, but I think we blended in quite well. We danced up a storm to the heavy techno type music, got dazed and confused by the strobe lights and I even scored a free drink. This all while the others were chilling in the car. Lol...Faders!!!

Then of course I decided that I must have pictures with some of the people and they were quite eager to pose with me...Friendly people much!

We were having too much fun, but eventually Lionel came in to fetch us. Lol! This was definitely a weekend to remember. I'd like to forget the hangover I had on the bus back home the next day, but hey I guess that comes standard.

Have a beautiful weekend, lovelies. I know I will!

The madness that was @George #Funzies

This past weekend Boyf, Jade and I took a trip down to George. It was my besties birthday the Thursday, so we saw this as the perfect opportunity to take a break from city life and be there to celebrate this special occasion. The trip started bright and early at 6:00, Friday morning. Even though the bus trip was about 6 hours the excitement kept us going, oh and of course the Solero's!

Our first pitstop

Jade and I stumbled upon a R5 store in George the Friday afternoon and decided to crown the birthday girl and make ourselves princesses for the weekend.

Friday

And so our weekend began...I'll let the pictures do the talking...

Saturday

Wannabe princess

Soooooo much fun, too little time. After this Jade and I still couldn't call it a night and practically begged Enray's bf to take us to another joint, where we can get our party on...More about that in part 2 of "The madness that was George!"
